Why, when, where, how?

marbill private event

For Awen Eventos I designed and coordinated the production and installation of all the graphics for Marbill’s private event at the Hotel Maribel, in Sierra Nevada. Custom-made 3D letters in every size —one of them backlit!—, indoor and outdoor signage, banners and personal touches in every corner so the guests would feel at home.

metadigital rural events

For Awen Eventos I designed and coordinated the production and installation of the graphics for Metadigital Rural, a fair that toured several villages in the province of Málaga. Large-format banners, lamppost flags, stage skirts, signage, panels and even the bins: the same set-up, adapted each time to a different square.

stands

Design, artwork, production and installation of graphics for stands. The client brings their corporate identity; I take it into the space: I adapt it to the measurements and materials of each structure, prepare it for print and stay with the installation until the stand opens.

shishamesse

I adapted the event graphics and coordinated their production and installation for more than half the stands at Shishamesse Sevilla, 2023 and 2024 editions, including the organiser’s own. Each brand with its own structure and measurements, all at once, in the same venue, on the same day, on the same timeline: I sweated buckets.

the ladder of violence

For Awen Eventos I gave shape to the ladder of violence, a touring piece that Málaga City Council takes to schools and public spaces. I turned its messages into posters and chose the texture and the typeface. The ladder itself was built in hollow MDF, cut into three sections so it could be moved.

un enfoque de mujer

For CCOO I designed all the graphics for Un enfoque de mujer (A woman’s focus), the exhibition that brings back the archive of Mª del Carmen Escobar, MACA: the photojournalist who captured how women claimed public space in Andalusia between 1977 and 1986. The illustration that announces it is mine, and with it the invitation, the panels, the labels and the retouching of the photographs.

#StolenMemory

For the Archivo General de Andalucía, which organises it together with the Arolsen Archives: 23 short biographies of victims of Nazism and the belongings taken from four Andalusians imprisoned in Neuengamme, exhibited to find their families and give them back. The texts and photos came from Arolsen; I adapted them to every format, from the hoarding on the street to the display cases in the gallery.

símbolos para andalucía

For the Archivo General de Andalucía I designed the thirteen panels of Una bandera, un escudo, un himno: Símbolos para Andalucía (A flag, a coat of arms, an anthem: symbols for Andalusia), plus the banners, floor signage, labels and the rest of the graphics. Later I adapted it to tour on 2 × 1 m panels. The big challenge: the timeline, full of photos, text and milestones very close together in time that all had to be marked, adapted to two exhibition formats.

fábrica y barrio

For CCOO’s Fundación Memoria y Futuro del Trabajo: I designed the exhibition Fábrica y barrio: San Jerónimo en el proceso de construcción democrática (Factory and neighbourhood: San Jerónimo in the building of democracy). Large-format panels with lots of photos, lots of documents and a route that had to read without bottlenecks. They asked me to illustrate the exhibition’s image: I chose one of its demonstrations for their rights, set against the neighbourhood’s skyline, so that any neighbour walking in would recognise themselves in it.

historia de una conquista

For the Fundación de Estudios Sindicales y Cooperación of CCOO Andalucía: Historia de una conquista (Story of a conquest), for the 40th anniversary of the Statute of Autonomy. The panels, the welcome cut-out, the outdoor signage and the labels are mine. We met every week: the professor brought the texts and the Foundation the documents and photos from the archive, and I turned them into design. They wanted it relaxed, not like a museum but like his lecture, illustrated.
